about
'Venter på stormene' is the first full length opus of Vemod; a twofold manifestation of the inner movements and the rising star; a contemplation upon the yet again sacred. The marriage of dark ethereal metal and atmospheric ambient soundscapes celebrates and cultivates the Vemodian essence, within the realms of deep feeling. The result of years of slow, but steady maturation, and a bridge towards our future. Beyond sun and moon, we are born anew.
This work is presented as a noble digipak CD and an equally noble cassette tape, both released by Terratur Possessions. The beautiful artwork is complemented by rich and thoughtful design, setting a high standard for things to come. A vinyl version will follow in 2013.
Recorded on eight analogue tracks in Red Cave between 2008 and 2011.
